Talk to your agent in Telegram

Connect in one scan​

Open your agent, click Publish and choose Telegram. Scan the QR code, or tap the link, and press Start in Telegram. The chat is now connected to your agent. No bot token or BotFather needed.

The QR code needs the hosted Agenta bot. On a self-hosted deployment, the operator sets it up first: Set up the hosted Telegram bot. Without it, use your own bot.

Use your own bot​

If you want the agent to answer under your own bot name, choose Use your own bot and paste the token from BotFather.

How the agent answers​

A Telegram chat is one conversation, so the agent remembers earlier messages. It shows typing while it works and posts the answer as a new message. In groups, it only answers when it is addressed.
